Properties: The organic oregano essential oil is a strong, herbaceous, spicy, hot oil. As it is a strong immune boosting oil, it has been used historically for infectious diseases.

Safety: The FDA places organic oregano essential oil on their Generally Regarded As Safe (GRAS) list. Undiluted, oregano essential oil can irritate or burn the skin as it is a hot oil and a known dermal irritant and sensitizer. Do not allow the oil to come in contact with sensitive areas of your body such as your eyes or inner ears. For those who are pregnant, the use of organic oregano essential oil is contraindicated.
